⚔️ Class Balancing: Everyone Gets a Power-Up!

This patch is all about making our builds feel stronger and more fun. Forget nerfs; we're in the era of buffs!

Barbarian: The Unga Just Got More Bunga

My fellow Barb mains, rejoice! Our shouts just got louder. The devs have thrown us some serious love.

  • Ground Stomp: Damage increased by a whopping 80%. Time to really shake the earth.

  • Upheaval: Base damage up from 100% to 120%, and Lucky Hit Chance increased to 30%. Furious Upheaval now stacks up to 10 times for 20% damage each. That's a potential 200% damage boost!

  • Mighty Throw: Got a compensatory buff (base damage 80% -> 120%, pulse 35% -> 55%) because a bug with its tempering affix was fixed. Net positive!

  • Passives Reworked:

  • No Mercy: Now just a flat 3/6/9% increased Critical Strike Chance. No conditions! 🎉

  • Battle-Mad: After 8 weapon swaps, you now get 20-40% increased damage AND Berserking for 4 seconds. That's huge!

  • Pit Fighter: Now grants flat 2% Damage Reduction instead of just Distant DR. Much better.

Druid: Storm, Earth, and FIRE Buffs

Nature is getting even more wrathful.

  • Tornado: Spirit cost reduced. Pair this with the revamped Stormchaser's Aspect (now also gives 30-50%[x] increased damage) and you've got a seeker missile nightmare.

  • Rabies & Grizzly Rage: Both got improvements. More poison, more bear.

  • Paragon Power:

  • Bestial Rampage: Werebear damage up to 40%[x], Werewolf attack speed up to 30%[+].

  • Earthen Might: Base and bonus chances all increased from 10% to 15%. More guaranteed crits!

  • Aspect of Natural Balance: Earth Crit damage buffed from 30-50%[x] to 50-70%[x]. Storm Crit Chance also increased.

Necromancer: Essence Flows, Bones Shatter

The bone zone just got a lot more potent. Our basic skills are no longer basic!

  • Decompose: Damage per second nearly doubled (33% -> 60%). Essence gain up and now scales with Attack Speed. This is a game-changer for some builds.

  • Hemorrhage & Bone Splinters: Big damage and essence generation increases.

  • Bone Storm: Buffed. Always good.

  • Passives:

  • Evulsion: Reworked! Now gives your Bone Skills 6/12/18%[x] increased damage to Vulnerable enemies instead of just Crit Damage. More reliable power.

  • Gloom & Shadowblight: Also got some love.

Rogue: Precision and Penetration

The masters of mobility and murder got some sharp tweaks.

  • Twisting Blades: Damage increased by 70%. Let that sink in. 🤯

  • Penetrating Shot: Now deals 50%[x] increased damage to Elites when cast with full Energy (on top of the knock-down). That's multiplicative damage, folks!

  • Smoke Grenade: Cooldown reduced (13s -> 10s), damage doubled (45% -> 90%). A much more attractive option.

  • Countering Concealment: Finally fixed! The buff now properly lasts 5 seconds after casting, even if you break Stealth.

  • Passives:

  • Victimize: Explosion can happen way more often, and damage scaling increased to 150%.

  • Exposure: Lucky Hit Chance up to 40%, Stun grenade damage doubled.

Sorcerer: Meteor Showers and Hydra Heads

Fire and Ice are getting some delicious upgrades.

  • Meteor (Enhanced): Changed from a 30% chance for an extra meteor to guaranteed if you hit 3+ enemies. Consistency is key!

  • Hydra (Enhanced): While Healthy, your Hydras now gain an extra head AND deal 50%[x] increased damage. That's a massive boost for Hydra builds.

  • Combustion Passive: Reworked! Now gives your Burning effects 60%[x] increased damage, plus an additional 25%[x] of your Bonus Damage to Burning Enemies. This should scale much better into late game.

  • Avalanche: Lucky Hit Chance tripled (10% -> 30%). The double chance vs. Vulnerable was removed, but damage against Vulnerable is now increased by an extra 25%[x].

  • Aspect of Piercing Cold: Completely redesigned! Ice Shards now pierce 10 times and deal 4-10% MORE damage per subsequent enemy hit. This turns Ice Shards into a clearing machine!

🛡️ Item & Aspect Overhaul

The legendary and mythic loot hunt just got more exciting.

Mythic Unique Items

These ultra-rare items are becoming true build-definers.

  • Shattered Vow: Damage over time increase buffed to 44%.

  • Andariel's Visage: Its life-stealing poison nova damage skyrocketed from 3000% to 4000%.

  • Penitent Greaves: The chill effect has been tripled. You'll be freezing whole screens.

Legendary Aspects

Many received significant buffs. For example, Stormchaser's Aspect for Druid now adds bonus damage to its seeking Tornadoes. The Aspect of Overheating for Sorcerer now grants a 75-100% damage increase after channeling Incinerate for only 2 seconds.

🔥 Vessel of Hatred Expansion Tuning

The Spiritborn and the new systems got some crucial polish.

Rune System Adjustments

The new end-game mechanics have been smoothed out.

  • Neo Rune: No longer blocked by invulnerability. A huge fix for its usability.

  • Moni Rune: Its offering has been increased.

  • Invocation Runes (Ton, Ceh, Vex, etc.): Various changes to effects, durations, and mechanics to make them feel better. For example, Vex's duration increased from 5 to 8 seconds and now properly refreshes.

Spiritborn Skill Tweaks

The new class is still being fine-tuned.

  • Withering Fist: Poison damage and slow effect increased.

  • Razor Wings (Soar): Damage up from 50% to 75%, and the annoying short cooldown between casts has been removed!

  • Several passives and aspects specific to the Spiritborn received numeric buffs for better performance.

🐛 Critical Bug Fixes & Quality of Life

This is where the patch really shines. So many frustrating issues are now gone!

Major Gameplay Fixes

  • Barbarian: Bold Chieftain's Aspect occasionally stopping? Fixed.

  • Druid: The Aspect of the Agile Wolf's 4th Shred dash not working? Fixed.

  • Necromancer: Ring of Mendeln's counter resetting on all minions when summoning a new one? Fixed! This was a huge bug for minion builds.

  • Rogue: Countering Concealment buff vanishing instantly? Finally fixed.

  • Sorcerer: Various imbuement and skill interaction issues resolved.

  • Mercenaries: They weren't betraying you! The chat log saying your Hired Merc killed you when it was a dead enemy was just a display bug. Phew! 😅

Dungeon & Activity Fixes

  • The Pit: Fixed Glyph upgrade chances past Tier 100, fixed party completion credit issues, and adjusted Party Finder filters.

  • Kurast Undercity: Fixed barrier exploits, monster density issues, and portal problems.

  • Dark Citadel & Kichuk Stronghold: Multiple progression blockers removed (like bosses teleporting out of arena).

UI/UX and Quality of Life

  • Party Finder: Massively improved! The Echo of Hatred boss is now a listed activity. UI is clearer, filters work better, and it remembers your last tab.

  • Enchanting: "No Change" is now the default selected option. No more accidentally losing a good roll!

  • Inventory & Crafting: Better sorting, fixed missing gem transmutation tab, and clearer tooltips everywhere.

  • Loot: Legion Event chests now have increased loot quality. Get that better loot!

  • Crafting: The Malignant Heart cost for Mucus-Slicked Eggs was slashed from 9 to 3. That's a massive reduction!

Miscellaneous Goodies

  • Shrines (Artillery, Blast Wave, Conduit): Their damage now scales with both Character level and Paragon level. They'll actually be useful in end-game!

  • Accessibility: Tons of small fixes making information clearer and navigation smoother.

🎯 Final Thoughts & The Road Ahead

Honestly, this Patch 2.0.5 is exactly what a mid-season update should be. It's not just bug fixes; it's a meaningful power infusion across the board. Blizzard is clearly listening to feedback—turning underused skills and aspects into viable options and smoothing out the rough edges from the Vessel of Hatred launch.
